Dr John Christopher Savage (CBE)

Chairman of Bristol Chamber and Initiative and Chairman of University Hospitals Bristol.  

John leads his organisation in, the promotion of partnership between local government and the private sector in order to promote the position of Bristol as a vibrant European city in the twenty-first century.  

He is passionately concerned about the continuing failure to produce opportunities for many young people from successive generations.

John was High Sheriff of Bristol, awarded the CBE for services to Business and Regeneration, and received Honorary Doctorates from both Bristol Universities. 

He sails, skis and frequently reorganises his shed, which is VERY tidy.
