This term Arts For Life students have been offered the opportunity to enter a competition to design a t-shirt for local kids clothing company Milk & Cereal. The winning design goes into production in the New Year, so this is a ‘real world’ design job!

The prize giving was in Studio 5 on Thursday 1st December, when the winner received a copy of their design on a t-shirt, and a £30 Amazon Voucher.

Milk & Cereal produce organic cotton t-shirts for kids, featuring a range of in-house designs and a selection by some of Bristol’s best known street artists (Inkie, Cheo, Feek, Paris and FLX).

Arts For Life, here at the Creative Youth Network harnesses arts activities to inspire a change in the attitude of young people having trouble at school.

The course runs one day a week over a ten-week period. This term students have had a chance to engage in street art, circus skills, photography and film-making; as well as visiting See No Evil at Nelson Street, and the Arnolfini.
