About Us

We're a team of young people who meet each week at the Kingswood Estate to organise monthly music events and a big festival that takes place every year. 

WE'VE WON LOADS OF AWARDS!

We've won two national awards, the Philip Lawrence Award and the Diana Award for Excellence. 

For two years running, our team won the South Gloucestershire Safer Stronger Communities Award for our contribution in reducing crime local area! (According to police statistics PREMIX has lowered crime by 23%.)

Caroline Parry, our Chair, won Young Person of the Year Award 2011 at the South Gloucestershire Safer Stronger Communities event. 

We will shortly be training other youth groups and organisations in how to run and manage events.

SOME OF THE THINGS WE DO:

PREMIX - YOUTH MUSIC NIGHTS

Is a monthly Friday gig night that often sees over 200 people having fun on the Kingswood Estate.  Five bands/acts perform each month and it is a platform for local musicians to showcase their talent.

MAIN EVENT - YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL

Is a unique youth arts festival that attracts an audience of over 1000 people, bringing together singers, bands, dancers and performers . We fundraise, coordinate and manage all aspects of the festival. In previous years the event has been held at the Kingswood Estate, and has seen headliners such as Lil'Chris, King Blues and Young Guns.
