Blog: Getting On Board

First of all I would like to welcome everyone who have joined Y4Y since January.  Rhys, Danika, Andrew, Jake and Shannon.  We also welcome ex-members of the group Alex and Donna.  It will be great working with you all on preparing this years Main Event and PREMIX’s.  Check out their profiles on the Meet The Team section of our website.

 As well as young people getting on board, I would like to welcome Laura our new Youth Events Manager.  Laura has been getting to know the dynamics of the group over the past couple of meetings and is now starting to lead PREMIX events with young people.  Laura has some great moves on the dance floor as we found out on Thursday night as she danced the night away with Georgina our Creative Learning Officer!

 On Tuesday some of the Y4Y team are meeting with Stage Electrics, the biggest supplier of hire and sales of lighting, sound and audio-visual equipment in Bristol.  We are hoping to work with Stage Electrics so that we can improve the equipment that we use for PREMIX at the Kingswood Estate.

Talking of PREMIX, the next one is on Friday 6^th April at the Kingswood Estate.  The event is £1.50 and includes artists such as Purplestone and Hopes Remain Lost.  Check out our faceboook page for more information!
