Starting your own team of people can be stressful.  Look for friends who would be interested in doing it with you but make sure you have some different skills within your group, for example; technical, marketing, graphic designer.  The more skills your team have the better your team will be.

Once you have got your team, you need to set out some aims and values for what your group want to represent and do.

When you have got your aims and values you can start to approach different organisations (charities with a registered charity number is a good start) who have similar aims and values to your group.  The advantage of asking a registered charity to support you is that you can make use of the registered charity number in funding applications (more on this next time!)

Why not create a pack and give to different organisations or deliver a presentation.

Remember that event management can be very stressful but don't worry there are people out there willing to help along the way!
