"This ain't your usual kinda story.

It's a story about us. Me and Kali...and...and it starts here. This moment.

With you and me and them and her and him and they and us.

Right on the brink of a humongous event of earth shattering proportion."

Kali and Leah have grown up together, they know one another inside and out...or so they thought. As the solar eclipse approaches, so too does their urgency to explore who they are and how to make the pieces fit.

Eclipse is now sold out.

We will sell tickets on the door if there are no shows. Just come and ask at the box office at 7.30pm.

Inspired by conversations on gender and identity with young people we work with, and written by Bristol playwright Alice Nicholas, this is an authentic, moving and witty play about the challenging, beautiful and inspiring world of being young and figuring out who you want to be.

With live music and dance, Eclipse is a powerful and thought provoking visual tapestry of the intimate internal space we all inhabit.

Q&A and Discussion

Our Tuesday 25th April show will be followed by a Q&A with the cast, crew, young people's steering group and professionals from the LGBTQ+ third sector.

Working together

We work with young people day in and day out. We hear stories which we don't see enough of in the media and especially on stage. Our ethos is to put forward unheard voices and make sure young people are heard loud and clear across the community.

Eclipse started with a writing residency by Alice Nicholas. Over the space of a few months, Alice came over to our youth clubs and built trusting relationships with young people. Gathering thoughts, feelings and stories about gender and identity, Eclipse evolved to a show which is genuine, honest and unique.

Young people are at the heart of the production, with a crew of young people aged 16-25 who work with experienced theatre professionals: from sound and lighting, to directing, producing and marketing, our whole team focuses on offering opportunities to young people.
