The Elephant in the Room explores the way we talk about mental health - and the ways we avoid talking about it. There has been great progress in tackling mental health stigma in recent years, but even now, we only ever hear about mental health if it has a negative spin. This exhibition aims to give a more rounded view of the way we can approach this tricky topic.

We're proud to host this special work during February, bringing attention to Mental Health Awareness Week. The young artists represent the Mentality group which is part of mental health charity Off The Record.

Mentality is an award winning youth led social action project that aims to challenge the stigma and discrimination surrounding young people's mental health. Made up of young volunteers aged 13-21 who have lived experience of mental health problems, it delivers training and workshops to thousands of young people and professionals each year.
