Creative Youth Network is looking for an young emerging sound technician for our summer show. The person selected for the role will be taught how to rig and operate the sound and will be expected to work unassisted for all the shows and dress/tech runs. This role is perfect for someone at the start of their career and looking for paid experience.


The fee for this freelance role is £300 - you will be expected to have a DBS check, be registered as self-employed and public liability insurance. If you don’t have these don’t let it put you off as Creative Youth Network can help you arrange them.


The performance is taking place at The Station, Silver Street, Bristol, BS1 2AG. It will be a contemporary dance piece taking place over three evenings and is open to the public. The role will begin on the 22nd of July 2019 and will continue through to the end of the week, with the get-in, dress and tech for the show on the 24th, and show dates - 25th, 26th and 27th July.

Candidate requirements

Creative Youth Network are looking for someone aged 16 to 25 years old who is available and capable of running the sound for this production. They should be dedicated to the role, have experience in the field and can handle a heavy workload.

Creative Youth Network claims exemption under schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, for this role, due to the external funding received for this opportunity being subject to the criteria for the project above. The criteria is therefore a proportionate means to achieving a legitimate aim.
