About us

Hillfields is our local youth centre in north-east Bristol. Meet new people, try new activities, learn new skills - or just hang out with your mates and play a game of pool. Whatever you fancy, there's loads to get involved with at Hillfields.

Opening times

Hillfields Youth Centre is open on Wednesday, from 4.30-6.30pm for 11-19 year olds.

It's so wonderful to work with a range of young people, from 8-19 years old. We have everything from fun activities for children, to debates around serious issues with teenagers. Young people having access to exciting new opportunities and experiences, while making new friends and having fun is the best part of my job. Carl Bowen, East-Central Youth Services Manager

Have fun

From basketball coaching and pool tournaments, to arts, crafts and music projects - we have new activities to try every week. We also cook healthy, tasty meals together, so you can impress your friends with your new skills in the kitchen.

We go on trips together and let you know about other projects happening in the local community that you can get involved in.

The youth club is a good place to socialise as we didn’t all know each other before coming here and we all get along really well now. It’s been useful to have this space as it’s more fun here than just playing in the park. I’m able to spend time with my friends when I come here as I live too far away to see them regularly otherwise. The youth workers are really helpful and kind, they’re fun to play games with and they even give us food and drink! Ricky (13) & Jago (12)

Get support and advice

There’s no problem too big or too small. We’re here to listen. You can talk to us about everything - from struggles at home and issues at school, to ideas on what else to do in your free time.

Spending a lot of time with young people in groups and having one to one conversations, we develop close and trusting relationships with young people. You can come to us with any issue you might have, be it with your friends, family or teachers.

We are here to support you and give advice on anything, from managing your emotions, to mental health issues.

I like coming to club because here we can make decisions ourselves. It’s fun, I can be with my friends and meet new people. I’ve also been trying new sports, been in pool competitions and helping people.
