About us

Looking for a local place to hang out with your friends, discover new passions and get some advice?

At The Stokes, our youth club based at Little Stoke Scout Hut, you can meet new people, listen to music, play sports, cook food and have fun.

Opening times

The Stokes Youth Centre is open two nights a week and we spend Thursdays doing outreach in the local community:

Monday: 5.30pm to 7.30pm; Open to 1118 year olds
Thursday: Detached Youth session engaging young people out in the community 7-9pm.

We are open for small group sessions, in line with government legislation. If you'd like to take part, please get in touch at [email protected]

We're here to provide a safe and fun environment for young people to enjoy themselves and take part in fun activities. From the sports hall to the music studio, the art room or even the bouncy castle there is something for everyone.

Have fun

At The Stokes, we're all about the fun. Garden fire pit? Check. Famous hot chocolate? Check. We've also got loads of exciting projects for you to get involved in.

Every week we create a big meal together, to develop your cooking skills and give you healthy, tasty options. Get stuck in to our arts projects to express your creativity – you could even get a chance to exhibit your art at our central youth centre, The Station.

We go on trips together and let you know about other projects happening in the local community that you can get involved in.

Get support and advice

There’s no problem too big or too small. We’re here to listen. You can talk to us about everything - from struggles at home and issues at school, to ideas on what else to do in your free time.

By spending time getting to know you as part of a group, as well as making sure you have space for one-to-one conversations with youth workers, we help you to develop close and trusting relationships with us and your peers.

We are here to support you and give advice on anything from managing your emotions and mental health issues, to problems with your friends, family or teachers.

I come to the youth club to hang out and try new things. All of my friends come here and it's a great place to go after school. I sometimes DJ and I've even made a track for my mum for her birthday. I really like the bouncy castle and when the weather is nice, I like having people to play football with.
