What's happening to our post? Expand Post continues to be delivered to The Station. If you are working in the building, the receptionist will deliver your post to your office once a day to minimise the number of people down at the desk. If you are continuing to work off-site, you can now pop into the reception any time between 9am – 5pm, Monday - Friday to pick it up.
How will we know when we can get back to normal service in the building? Expand CYN are progressing with a phased re-opening of The Station starting with tenants and staff that need to use office space to do essential work. This will be followed by 1:1 and small group work where possible. We don’t yet have a date for ‘normal’ opening.
Are we still expected to pay rents/licence fees when the building is closed? Expand Rent and licence fee payments will be due as normal however if there are tenants/licensees who are experiencing particular financial difficulty and have not been able to access financial support elsewhere, we are happy to look at ways we can help.
Who do we speak with if we have concerns about paying rent? Expand Please email [email protected] and cc [email protected]. Payment plans can be considered where there is a genuine affordability issue and you are exploring all other available options including government grant and loan schemes. As a charity with limited financial reserves ourselves, however, we do encourage you to please regard us as an option of last resort rather than your first port of call.
Will I receive a business rates rebate now that the government have changed the rules on business rates? Expand Unfortunately The Station is not eligible for further discount on business rates as we already receive the 80% charity rate relief which is passed on to all tenants who are charities/not-for-profits. If you are a small business and have your rented area separately rated, you can apply to Bristol City Council for a rebate.
My licence/lease is due for renewal, will this still be happening? Expand Yes. Lease/licence renewals will continue as normal. If you have a question re your specific lease/licence in the meantime, please contact Rebecca Scott.
Is it possible for me to access my office? Expand Yes. As of Monday 6th July, tenants who need to use their office spaces for essential work can do so without the need to book an appointment, Mon-Fri 9-5. Tenants will still need to sign in at the reception desk. We have installed various social distancing and Covid-19 measures to enable you to do this as safely as possible.
Where can I go for financial support? Expand There are a number of schemes being offered by the government and various funders. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-launches-new-coronavirus-business-support-finder-tool?utm_source=72ee83f6-faee-4c8e-989f-b7acc873bc8c&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=govuk-notifications&utm_content=immediate https://www.gov.uk/business-coronavirus-support-finder https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19/covid-19-support-for-businesses https://www.gov.uk/government/news/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-for-the-charity-sector https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/covid19 For those of you who have furloughed staff, please note that the HMRC reclaim scheme is now open and you should apply as soon as possible to ensure prompt reimbursement.
