About the online course

11-16 and interested in animation? Are you already starting to make your own animations and would like to work with a professional filmmaker to learn more tips and improve your work? This course will give you a chance to try out different stop motion animation techniques, learn how animations are made and make your own short film.

How does it work?

Every Tuesday evening the group will log on to Zoom (a video call service) so we can go through a 'how to' guide of the next steps and also see what everyone has done over the last week. We will then give you individual support and arrange a check in with you on a Tuesday evening so you can get an extra bit of help with your project and work at your own pace. As this is an online course we will give you as much support as we can over Zoom but it's important that you are happy and able to do some of the work on your own at home.

You will need to be able to access Zoom via a computer/tablet/mobile phone, if needed we will help you get set up with this before the course starts. You will also need to be able to download a free app called Stop Motion Studio to take part in the project.
