About the course

16-25? Out of work? Out of school? Want to learn more about Events Production? Want to get practical experience, work towards a deadline and push your creativity further than you've ever have before?

Come join us in a relaxed course, where you can boost your skills and see your ideas come to life.

This course gives you the chance to put on a showcase in Cabot Circus in collaboration with Garota Hacker and our other Creative Course groups.

Over the 4 weeks you'll work in a group with Carly, a Creative Producer and events professional based in Bristol. She works across a huge variety of events and venues with a wide range of audiences from small club nights to large scale festivals. The course will teach participants to develop and manage an event from initial idea to evaluation. The participants will work together as a team to successfully plan and co-produce a live event.

On the course you will learn:

  • Event planning
  • Scheduling
  • Budgeting
  • Technical elements (sound / lighting)
  • Marketing
  • Evaluation

"I loved the course, it's been really fun. I've learnt a lot, met new people and got to work with great professionals. The group was well organised and everyone was supportive. I wanted to improve my confidence by taking part and this experience has done just that. I now know I can do so much more than I ever thought would be possible"
