For young people Creative Futures Apply for Creative Futures Work as an artist. Develop your networks. Build your creative future. We are looking for 4 young people to take part in a paid 6 month opportunity to set yourself up as a freelancer, make and show your own work and get mentoring. We welcome applications from those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those who are out of employment, education or training, those receiving income support and from care leavers. Ages: 16 – 25 Deadline for applications: 9am, Monday 5th October 2020 Interview day: Monday 12th October 2020 (morning group session and afternoon interview) Where: Zoom You will need to be available: 3 days per week from Nov – Dec 2020 (1 day project work and 2 days freelance work) 2 days per week from Jan – April 2021 (project work) What’s offered? Studio space Professional mentoring Work placements / professional experience Money to make new work Showcase opportunities of new work Professional business support and help in setting yourself up as a freelance practitioner Networking opportunities to build on your creative contacts Paid work as a freelancer to plan and run workshops for other young people What we are looking for: We are looking for four young artists, musicians, dancers, choreographers, performers, writers, designers… basically anyone with a creative vision, idea and passion. You should be committed and motivated at the start of your creative profession and career. With a drive and passion for making new work and developing yourself but you may not have had the opportunity to do so before. Want to find out more before applying?
