This series stemmed from a selection of photographs I took in east Bristol, focusing on the high levels of discarded materials in the streets. By eliminating the waste elements within the images they highlight the unique outlines of these piles, creating intrigue about the potential items beneath and simultanously pushing the viewers' focus on the surrounding area.

Henry Pope

Henry Pope has a multi-faceted artistic practice; working predominantly with installation, painting and curation. He is interested in exploring dystopias, unsettling aesthetics and ever-growing environmental issues.

Although photography has been central to Pope's practice, Tipping marks his first time presenting a purely photographic exhibition.

He graduated from Kingston School of Art (London) in 2016 and has been living and working in Bristol since 2017. Henry has been part of Creative Youth Network since January 2019.
