Led by illustration artist, Emily Thomas, this half term workshop will teach you illustration techniques whilst giving you a chance to have some fun and grow in confidence around your drawing. As an artist who draws people and situations, Emily will encourage you to think of topics that inspire you before working on a shared theme around safety and creating illustrations that will be used to keep others safe in public spaces at night time.

About Emily Thomas

After studying illustration at UWE Bristol, Emily is now an illustration and video journalist who engages with current topics of interests. Her work revolves around direct observation and discovery, as she has a great interest in things that go unnoticed and unseen.

She fully investigates a subject by interviewing individuals and recording environments through sound, photography and drawing. She tells stories of the people she draws and creates work that has a real impact on social change.
