About the course

11-16 and interested in textiles? Whether you’ve never sewn before or you love sewing, there’s something for all lovers of craft! During this 10 week course you will learn the skills to make your own stitched fabric book. You’ll create felt, experiment with paint and stitch and play with a wide (and unusual!) range of fabrics and recycled materials. You’ll also learn hand sewing and embroidery techniques and develop skills in using a sewing machine. You’ll work with professional artists, make friends and have fun in a relaxed and friendly space.

We will be working through the Bronze Arts Award, a great Level 1 qualification which everyone will achieve by the end of the course. At the end of term we will have an online showcase of the artwork you have produced alongside the work from the two other Creative Courses.
