What's On Be a Youth Ambassador in South Gloucestershire Would you like to gain skills for your CV, build confidence and get your voice heard? Join us as a youth ambassador and influence services for young people in South Gloucestershire. Being a youth ambassador You'll represent the voice of young people in South Glos, playing an important role in helping shape youth services in the area. You'll work with the Head of South Glos Youth Services, meet up (digitally) with other young people and use a variety of consultation techniques to capture young people's voices and opinions. Not only has volunteering helped me overcome challenges around my mental health but it also gave me a chance to meet some amazing new people as well as opening many doors to some fantastic opportunities. - Dannie, Youth Ambassador from Krunch South West Who we are looking for We're looking for young people: Aged 13 – 18 Passionate about quality youth services Reliable, being on time Willing to share your opinions A team player attitude and ability to listen to others Attends a youth centre in South Glos Access to a computer and phone Able to attend meetings and training (and where appropriate events) Main benefits Gain skills for your CV Meet new people and make friends Increase confidence Experience of working directly with senior management Experience of influencing youth organisations Full training and support Access to Youth Work level 2 qualification and other training/personal development References for future employment Trips and fun activities Access to other opportunities to volunteer and have your voice heard What will I be doing?
