“I was struggling before this programme. There were people who were bullying me and one day I was not feeling good at all, so I burst. Ever since I’ve been on the programme, things have changed. When I’m doing art, I’m getting my anger out. People are asking me what I think and I really enjoy that. We’ve been doing poetry and I wrote a poem about language I don’t like, that makes me angry. I read it in front of the class and everyone liked it. I felt chuffed with myself! Sharing that with people in the showcase means more people know me now, and they care about what I have to say. Now I feel like I’m not coming to school just to do work. I’m coming to do something I like and I want to be doing."
Guide costs for our ALP programmes are below but may vary dependant on location and specifics required.
