Animation This term we began by looking at techniques for building effective models for animating. First off, we made wire skeletons and then built up layers of plasticine. We also looked at mouth movements and how to sync up talking with moving mouths. It was a challenging term with Covid restrictions which meant that the young people couldn't work in groups so we have lots of individual films to show this term. We were interrupted half way through the term and the sessions had to go online due to the nationwide lockdown. The young people adapted well and worked really hard to make what they could with the time we had together. Alongside achieving their Arts Award qualifications, the young people have learned new skills in model making, animating and we had a lot of fun in the middle of a challenging time. The courses theme this term has been #CreativeYOU, our campaign which champions the right of every young person to access creativity and development opportunities in the creative and cultural industries. Pledge your support and find out more. Have you enjoyed seeing how young people expressed their love of creativity? Do you want to support more young people to access creative opportunities?
