Free courses for young people struggling with education or employment I was out of work and couldn’t get a break. I did this course with Creative Youth Network, and now I’ve been accepted onto a training scheme. (Adil, 18) The West of England Combined Authority is working in partnership with Creative Youth Network to deliver the Mayoral Priority Skills Fund. This fund provides flexible grants to meet current priority skills gaps in the region. This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. At Creative Youth Network we understand how overwhelming it can feel trying to make the best choices for your future. Knowing what steps to take to get back into employment, education or training can be difficult. That’s why we’ve created a range of FREE courses led by YOU, to help you develop the skills, confidence and knowledge to take the next step. Our Youth Workers and Trainers will support you to find the right course or employment, work towards a qualification and learn new skills - whatever you need to find the best path towards a brighter future. So if you’re aged between 16 and 25 and struggling with education, employment or training, click on the link below to sign up to one of our FREE courses at Hanham Youth Club, the Kingswood Estate or our central Bristol base, The Station (depending on where you live). Our courses include: • 1-2-1 job coaching sessions • personal development • goal setting • team building • confidence building • wellbeing • vocational skills • employability skills • progression support • communication skills • tailored progression routes • CV writing • help with applications and interview prep. Youth work support helped me build my confidence and learn new skills after I dropped out of college. Weekly 1-2-1 sessions with my youth worker have allowed me to chat to someone about my worries and challenges, and now I’ve started an apprenticeship which I’m really enjoying.
