Millie Wood-Downie is an early career artist/producer whose work stems from challenging assumptions with the aim of positive change and creating further opportunity for young creatives.

She graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Drama with Creative Writing from UWE Bristol in 2018. She was Artistic Producer & co-founder of award-winning theatre & events company, Penultimate, with which she co-produced the highly sung emerging artist exhibition, Place.

She was a commissioned BBC New Creatives artist with her spoken word audio piece; I Want To Be Good which went on to win a Gold Award at HEARNow Festival, Kansas City.

She is an Arts Council supported artist with her one-woman play, There Was a Little Girl, which debuted in Bristol/Brighton summer 2021.
