Creative Workshops

Have you got an idea for a short film or audio story and need help, money and skills to make it happen? Well, these workshops are for you.

Creative Youth Network and Calling The Shots are working together to run this series of workshops aimed at young people who’d like to develop their media skills and find out about the New Creative programme, an exciting talent development scheme that offers commissioning opportunities for young people to create new work in film, audio or interactive media, designed for BBC platforms.

We encourage sign ups from those who’ve been in care, who are out of employment or education, and those from non-white ethnic backgrounds. You can attend one or all of the workshops depending on what you’re interested in. All are free and fully accessible.

Nimbus Sounds: Our partnership to provide young people with access to music

Creative Youth Network, Basement Studios, Trinity Arts Centre and Aspiration Elevation Creation (ACE), work together to create a journey for young people, many of whom have limited access to music provision. It allows young people to create music in settings that they feel comfortable and no matter what their level of experience - from within their youth clubs, through to bespoke courses and even up to developing original tracks and progressing into professional music opportunities.

One to One Support in Bristol

It is with regret that we are now closed to referrals to the Targeted Youth Service (TYS) as of Wednesday 15th March. However, BDP are still accepting referrals for all young people age 11+ who are involved with substances and/or affected by family use.
Who we are

Creative Youth Network is a registered charity based in Bristol, in the South West of England. We are youth workers, professional artists, freelancers, volunteers and campaigners. We help all young people to reach their potential and live fulfilling lives, by building secure, positive relationships with them based on the unique needs of each person.

The Station

The Station is Bristol's Central Youth Hub. Come and learn new skills, hang out with friends in the evenings, and get support – all in a relaxed, creative environment.

We provide support for emerging young artists, musicians, performers and creatives aged 16-25 years old, empowering the next generation of great artists from all backgrounds.
