Are you passionate about stopping youth violence? Have you had lived experience or just want your voice heard?

Gang violence and knife crime are real issues that are on the increase. They affect each and every one of us and how we live our lives. From going to the shops, to navigating public transport as well as entering a different postcode. Whether day or night, we all find ourselves having to become more and more vigilant and mindful of our surroundings at all times.

But what are the causes of this increase in violence? And how does it affect you on a daily basis? What do you think are the solutions to the issue?

The Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees would like to hear your thoughts and opinions, which will help inform how he plans to tackle the rise in violence in Bristol during his Mayoral term. So, on behalf of Bristol City Council, Creative Youth Network are hosting the Youth Summit on Violence Reduction on Thursday 17 March 2022, between 5:00 – 6:30pm, which will be held virtually via Zoom.

This is your chance to make your voice heard with some of Bristol’s key decision makers including Bristol’s Youth Mayors, Anika and Jeremiah. Come along and tell them what you feel are the real issues and how violence is impacting you and your lives – let’s make Bristol somewhere you want to live, work and flourish.
