For young people Creative courses Soap Soup present: Theatre Summer School 11-16 and want to have the experience of your life this summer? Over a 5 day intensive we will be workshopping our 3 favourite theatre disciplines: Devising Ensemble Theatre, Puppetry and puppet making, and Sound design and Composition with three professional Bristol based artists and theatre makers! By the end of the week we will have played games, made puppets, created original music, learnt new skills, made new friends and maybe even done a performance or two! 30th of July - 3rd of August, 10am-4pm The Kingswood Estate, 20 Old School House, Britannia Road Who will you be working with? Tomasin Cuthbert (Artistic director of Soap Soup Theatre) will be leading the puppet making and puppetry element, sharing her passion for designing and making puppets for theatre. Jenny Davies, Associate Artist at Propolis Theatre is an experienced director making work with and for young people, and will be exploring devising theatre and ensemble work - drama games, improvisation and lots of fun! Nick Jannaway is an electronic Music Producer and sound designer and will be leading the group in creating their own original sound design. Details You don’t need to have any previous experience, and you don’t need to be ‘good’ at drama or art or music. There’s no such thing! Anyone can be creative, so come and get involved! Ages: 11-16 Dates: 30th of July - 3rd of August This summer school is free and there is a small budget for travel if you need it.
