Creative Futures

Led by Creative Youth Network and in partnership with PAPER Arts and Rising Arts Agency, Creative Futures is a brand new project supporting young emerging artists to develop, succeed and flourish regardless of their background.

Josh, Emma and Marcin have been developing new work for the past six months as artists in residence, with support from mentors, workshops and studio space.

Now they're ready to share their work in a day festival of live performances.

Tickets are £2.50, and suitable for ages 11+

Tickets are only £2.50.

Meet Katie

Katie is strong minded about story telling. She feel's all the elements and ideas of a project come together this way, comedy, racism, tragedy, drama, reminiscence. Katie's inspired by music, just listening to any genre of music can ignite an idea or a certain feeling.
Meet Joe

Joe's an actor, writer and theatre maker. Who studied acting at Bath Spa University and formed the theatre company Dumb Found Theatre with his two best friends.
Meet Harry

Harry Creffield is an actor, singer/songwriter and comedian based in Bristol. As an actor Harry has appeared in various regional and touring theatre productions as well as collaborating with the Bristol Improv Theatre on their improvised musical shows Pick Your Own Panto & Pick Your Own Fairytale. Harry writes comedy songs about mental health and is currently working on a one-man comedy musical show
Meet Lauren

Lauren is a portrait artist, primarily working in acrylic and oil paints. Instead of seeing people in skin tones, Lauren use colours to depict the subject’s persona and facial expressions.
Meet Dolores

Dolores is a visual artist working across multiple mediums, which include installations, interactive art, video art, 3D pieces, sculpture and paint. The work varies between minimal pieces, complex multi-dimensional forms and other worldly spaces. The themes of my pieces often focus on issues surrounding identity and other contemporary events, which throw up social, political or environmental concerns.
Meet Tommy

Hey, hey. I’m Tommy Howlett. I love animation, and I specialize in 2D animated film making. I like goofy characters and vibrant visuals, but I’m also interested in telling stories about internal problems like fear, grief, passion, love and potential. I want to push story-telling to new lengths and bring something new to the animation scene this year.
Meet Oona

I’m Oona I’m an actor who is also interested in photography and filmmaking. I want to explore multiculturalism and identity.
Meet Tilly

Tilly is an actress and writer, she is working on blending the two skills to create short films. Tilly is exploring the concept of true transparency on what it is to be human, with authenticity and honesty at the centre. She is excited to explore different topics and hopefully make films that can help people feel less alone with their experiences.
Meet Giles

Giles is an entrant multi-disciplinary artist, working across visual, musical and performance art. Giles is interested in social practice, queer identity and blending art with activism.

One to One Support in Bristol

It is with regret that we are now closed to referrals to the Targeted Youth Service (TYS) as of Wednesday 15th March. However, BDP are still accepting referrals for all young people age 11+ who are involved with substances and/or affected by family use.
Who we are

Creative Youth Network is a registered charity based in Bristol, in the South West of England. We are youth workers, professional artists, freelancers, volunteers and campaigners. We help all young people to reach their potential and live fulfilling lives, by building secure, positive relationships with them based on the unique needs of each person.
