What made you apply for Creative Futures?

Creative Futures appealed to me due to the mentoring and the ability to finally work on a project without academic constraints. After dropping out of university I felt very lost in how to fully utilise all my creative forms and voice. Creative Futures felt like an opportunity for me to experiment & find my own voice.

Tell us about the piece of work you’re currently making.

I am working on a project depicting identity & culture through performance, visual art, sound & installation.

What are you most excited to do on Creative Futures?

As a South Asian artist there is a lot of fear instilled within being a creative and so I am excited to go beyond my anxieties and create a personal performance that will exhibit my creative vision.

Where do you see yourself at the end of the programme?

I hope to see myself with a new found confidence in articulating stories in a nonconformist way, allowing me to find my own distinctive style to further explore & perform as a young artist.
