Over the last six months the France Brodeur Young Artist Award have funded Molly to develop her exploration into the little known printmaking technique of pressure printing. This technique has traditionally used a Vandercook press, an American press manufactured in the first half of the 20th century. Without access to this machine Molly has been adapting the technique with the goal of making pressure printing available to recreate in the home. This is a highly experimental technique which has proven versatile creating a range of wonderfully unpredictable results. First printing with rolling pins and later with large spindle rollers, Molly now wants to share her results and findings with others.
